Artist: Linchpin
Album Title: Small Town Theory

Linchpin are a young pop-punk band from London. Their music is easiest described as pop-punk. The music is energetic and bouncy; think kid who's eaten all the blue smarties. Despite being around 16, they have found the time to do nation wide tours and play to hundreds of people a night. Their debut mini album is full of catchy songs and melody. It's nothing really new, and it certainly isn't rocket science, but few bands make this type of music as well as Linchpin do.

The songs about getting out of Kent to rock the world are anthemic like Small Town Theory and High Life and will inspire many people their age. I'm sure Linchpin will continue to gather fans like an avalanche, the boys are drop dead gorgeous and the songs are infectiously catchy.

The single Can't Explain is really great and a sign of yet more good things to come. It's surprisingly upbeat considering it's about losing a friend. Hypochondriac is a bit dancey, and the verses remind me a bit of We Are Scientists. Small Town Theory is probably the slowest song on the album, which is a good thing as it isn't that slow. All I Want is an adorable ballad, which would make anyone?s heart melt.

With friends in high places such as Dave Grohl and Good Charlotte and bundles of talent, there's only one way for Linchpin, and that is to the charts.
