28/07/2008 renfro – ‘mathematics’

www.myspace.com/renfromusicspace

Based in East London & North Devon, UK, Renfro are Tim Branney and Atom-James Draper. Tim sings the songs and Atom sources found-sounds. Together they write words and make music from recorded fragments.

Renfro formed in late 2005, born from a mutual love of electronic music and West-Coast vocal harmonies. Tim & Atom like the avant-garde but often find themselves wanting to sing along too. They enjoy Low and Midlake as much as they do Tod Dockstader and William Basinski, so their aim is to meld experimental electronic musical techniques with dream-pop songwriting.

Early on, whilst waving microphones at elephant seals in Santa Cruz, Ca., they also wondered why pop songs couldn't be made using a soundtrack of field recordings and electro-acoustic manipulations. Those same elephant seals ended up joining a sonic cast on the album that includes malfunctioning leads, NASA rocket launches (such as at the start of ‘Boken Little Pieces’), feeds from deep space, tapped teeth, burning plastic (a credit card sacrifice), bubble wrap popping (‘Planting Flags’) as well as a host of wild animals and numerous controlled bursts of static/ distortion.

Words are also important to Renfro. They try to remain optimistic in the face of the political and social realities of modern life. In their lyrics they like to explore the poetics of isolation, difference and collapse. For guidance they binge on film, literature and assorted junk culture.

Mastered in Miami by Kramer (producer of Low, Sonic Youth, Dot Allison, Robert Wyatt etc.) their already widely acclaimed debut album, 'Mathematics', finds lushly layered vocals residing amongst twinkling tunes that float on a sea of pops, clicks and melted circuits. A kind of electronic-alternative-gospel-folk for the 21st Century. Sometimes it's melancholy, and sometimes it chuckles quietly in the corner.

The album will be supported by the release of 2 remix EP’s featuring reworkings of Renfro tracks by Christian Fennesz, AGF/Laub, & Porn Sword Tobacco, alongside artists from Kitty Yo, BPitch Control and Meltwater Records. Renfro are also about to start production work on the second Damero album for Ellen Allien’s BPitch Control label.

Renfro formed with a very specific musical agenda. They are huge fans of 21st Century electronic music (such as Fennesz, William Basinski, Paul Wirkus, Jan Jelinek etc.) and wanted to incorporate some of these sound ideas and ways of making music into mainstream pop music. Renfro are set to show that you can, and that in 2008 you should, make perfect pop music from the sound of technology breaking down.

28/07/2008 THE BOY WILL DROWN SIGN WORLDWIDE DEAL WITH EARACHE RECORDS

EARACHE is proud to announce the signing of British technical metallers THE
BOY WILL DROWN to a multi-album, worldwide recording deal.

THE BOY WILL DROWN are a four-piece band based in Norwich/Colchester in the
UK who formed in late 2006. Currently regarded as one of the most
flamboyant and intense bands in the UK, they play a vicious blend of
technical and experimental music based around grindcore and death metal.
Refusing to play "sugar-coated" metal like so many other bands, THE BOY WILL
DROWN do everything in their power to mesmerise and pulverise the listener,
whilst simultaneously injecting an element of humour, fun and youth into the
otherwise serious face of the extreme metal genre. Drawing influence from
bands such as DECAPITATED, NECROPHAGIST and PSYOPUS, THE BOY WILL DROWN
create music that's technically breathtaking, with punishing metal riffage,
yet still retains that "groove" factor.

Check out some tracks from THE BOY WILL DROWN at http://www.myspace.com/tbwd

With an ever-growing fanbase eagerly awaiting their first full-length
release, THE BOY WILL DROWN are set to follow in the path of their idols
DECAPITATED and enter Hertz Studios in Poland this October to record their
debut album.

METALLICA

Metallica announce song titles for new album:

Metallica today announced the running order and the final song titles for their forthcoming 12th album “Death Magnetic” .

The full tracklisting is:

That Was Just Your Life
The End Of The Line
Broken, Beat & Scarred
The Day That Never Comes
All Nightmare Long
Cyanide
The Unforgiven III
The Judas Kiss
Suicide & Redemption
My Apocalypse

Frontman James Hetfield has also explained the meaning of the record's title, saying, "It started out as kind of a tribute to people that have fallen in our business, like (Alice In Chains frontman) Layne Staley and a lot of the people that have died, basically — rock and roll martyrs of sorts. And then it kind of grew from there. Thinking about death...just like a magnet, some people are drawn towards it, (and) other people are afraid of it and push away."

Hetfield added, "The concept that we're all gonna die sometimes is over-talked about and then a lot of times never talked about — no one wants to bring it up; it's the big white elephant in the living room. But we all have to deal with it at some point."

In other news the band have announced via their website and Mission:Metallica that the album will be available for Guitar Hero. It's a first in both music and gaming . . . the same day that "Death Magnetic" hits the streets, every song will be available to download for "Guitar Hero III!" And for those of you who are awaiting the next Guitar Hero, "World Tour," the band are ready for that too . . . you will be able to experience "Death Magnetic" for drums, vocals, and guitar when that game emerges this Fall. More info on this to follow.

The band have just finished the July leg of their European tour, and will return in August, when they headline the Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK.

24/07/2008 ***MASSIVE FOURTH LONDON INTERNATIONAL TATTOO CONVENTION 26/27/28 SEPTEMBER @ TOBACCO DOCK, WAPPING E1W 2SF***

The fourth London International Tattoo Convention, which has been confirmed for September 26/27/28, will this year take place at a new, vastly bigger and better location at Tobacco Dock, 50 Porters Walk, Wapping, London E1W 2SF, having outgrown original venue The Old Truman Brewery.

The London International Tattoo Convention has now become THE Number One Alternative Event Of The Year in London, having attracted HUGE amounts of media coverage worldwide over the last three years, with each event becoming even more crammed with visitors, artists and events, making it one of the most crowded and important conventions in Europe.

The Inaugural London International Tattoo Convention in 2005 attracted over 15,000 visitors, the second saw over 18,000 people through the doors, while last year over 20,000 fans of body art packed the Old Truman Brewery to the rafters and hundreds had to be turned away.

As a result the 4th London International Tattoo Convention has moved to a much bigger venue at Tobacco Dock in Wapping, a completely renovated hidden treasure of beautiful Victorian architecture, built in 1812 to store and market tobacco imported from the East, just a few minutes from Tower Bridge.

The ground floor of Tobacco Dock, where the main Tattoo Convention will be situated, has a huge purpose built bar and restaurant and acres of space for the hundreds of stalls, studios, exotic esoteric dances, shows, exhibits and art events taking place.

Traditional East End themed nourishment will be on offer, including pie and mash stalls and a huge real ale bar stocked with beers chosen by members of Camra, including various London micro-breweries’ latest offerings.

The massive, spectacular underground vault floor, with extensive sprawling nooks and crannies, will contain a fetish market, a varied and vibrant alternative market place, coffee shops and other chill out zones and bars licensed until 1.00am. The ‘Vince Ray Rock’n’Roll Voodoo Crypt’, hosted by the man himself (currently touring with The Stray Cats) will have a nightclub vibe created by none other than Torture Garden, who promise numerous dark, alternative sideshows and entertainment.

The fourth London International Tattoo Convention will once again be packed with top tattoo artists flying in from as far away as Japan, China, Thailand and Singapore, let alone from all over Europe, America, and the UK.

Over 190 top artists, chosen from over 1,000 applications from all around the world, will be in London to demonstrate their extraordinary abilities. Elite artists such as Boog, who specialises in the Chicano style from East Los Angeles, Miami Ink’s Tim Hendrix, Japan’s Horitaka, (a member of the Horiyoshi family who has written over ten books on the history and art of Japanese tattooing), Samoa’s Sua Loli Keli, (a university teacher who is an expert in the Samoan hand style), France’s Tin Tin, (a favourite of the fashion world who works with the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Galliano etc) and Phil Kyle and Nicole Lowe of London Ink will be practising their art in public.

Artists of this calibre rarely participate in conventions, but such is the stature of the London International Convention that real tattoo masters like these will be found in abundance at this unique cultural event.

The biggest show of all, however, will be that offered by the visitors themselves, who become the lead characters when they compete in the tattoo contests for different categories, such as Best Tribal, Best Backpiece, Best Black & Grey, Best Colours and Best of Show.

The 2008 Convention will once again feature a host of diverse related attractions, including an Anthropological Exhibition (created by Lionel Titchener of the British Tattoo History Museum), Tribal belly dancers (Les Soeurs Tribale), an Art Fusion Camp plus various Art Exhibitions, Extreme Performance Artists (Lucky Diamond Rich), The Suicide Girls, celebrity book and calendar launches and much, much more. There really will be more things to do than you can shake a stick at!

For more info check www.thelondontattooconvention.com from which tickets are available, priced at £20 per day or £50 for a three day pass.

History

Tattoos have exploded from being a minority interest (mostly associated with sailors, soldiers and nobility), into the mainstream public’s consciousness in the last decade and It is only fitting that London should host the biggest International Tattoo Convention in the world, as it could be argued that modern western tattooing originated here. Captain James Cook, who discovered Tahiti and its tattooed inhabitants in 1769, coined the word ‘tattoo’, inspired by the ‘Tat-Tat’ sound of the hammer hitting the needle piercing the skin. He brought the heavily tattooed Prince Omai back to London, and sparked huge interest in body art, which had virtually disappeared in Europe after a papal bull banning it was issued in 787AD.

24/07/2008 TWISTED SISTER TO RELEASE ‘LIVE AT THE ASTORIA’ DVD

TWISTED SISTER will release a new DVD, "Live At The Astoria", in the Autumn

Commented guitarist Jay Jay French:

"Recorded in London, in August 2004, the critics hailed TWISTED SISTER's performance as one of their greatest ever. If you're an SMF, and have wondered what TWISTED SISTER thought about any of their live shows throughout their 35-year history, you should know this: while certain bandmembers remember certain shows, and relate tales of particular performances as being their favourite, rarely does the band universally agree that any particular show is about as good as it gets. I can say this without hesitation or ambiguity: each bandmember considered that night to be amongst the most special of our careers. This concert was filmed and kept in a vault for the past four years. When the band had the opportunity to look at the footage, it brought back the heat, passion, intensity and audience participation that was at a level far above all expectations. The performance will be released as a DVD/CD Twinpack worldwide through our UK-based label Global Music’s imprint label, Demolition, and we look forward to sharing this magical performance with all of you”

TWISTED SISTER's setlist for the August 1, 2004 show at the Astoria in London, England was as follows:

01. What You Don't Know (Sure Can Hurt You)
02. The Kids Are Back
03. Under The Blade
04. Destroyer
05. Like A Knife In The Back
06. Burn In Hell
07. Ride To Live
08. Shoot 'Em Down
09. You Can't Stop Rock N' Roll
10. The Fire Still Burns
11. We're Not Gonna Take It
12. The Price
13. I Am, I'm Me
14. I Wanna Rock
15. Come Out & Play

24/07/2008 BOYS IN A BAND

24 GIGS IN 24 HOURS AND DEBUT ALBUM NEWS

"They sound like The Strokes without that crushing pretension ruining it…Plus, seeing them live, is an experience to say the least." Clash magazine

“…huge stars…” NME

With one foot planted firmly in modern indie rock ground and the other wobbling about, Boys in a Band look backwards into music history, eclectically mixing that which they see fit into a musical melting pot of well calculated chaos. The reckless and danceable rhythms of classic rock n roll, the weighty and lofty vitality of pre-Elvis black gospel and blues, the epic grittiness of old school country, the bare idealism of hippy protest singing and the groove of seventies cock rock – these diverse and, at times, more than slightly contradictory elements exist in perfect harmony in Boys in a Band's universe, thanks to their utterly infectious and youthful charisma, of which they are brimming.

The band has and is going to play several big festivals since they started playing in September '06 – Roskilde (DK), Iceland Airwaves (IS), EuroSonic (NL), by:Larm (NO), Canadian Music Week (CA) and SXSW (US). Despite having formed only 18 months ago the boys are gaining reputation for their fantastic music and stagecraft earning them international attention as one of the most exciting up and coming bands from Scandinavia.

The Boys have just released their debut album in the Faroe Island’s where they reside. The album entitled Black Diamond Train was recorded in London with legendary producer Ken Thomas (Sigur Rós, Dave Gahan, David Bowie, Sugarcubes & more).

To celebrate its release the band performed, a possibly record breaking 24 gigs in 24 hours around the 18 islands performing by waterfalls, in caves, on the roof of a toilet, on a boat & many other locations as well as travelling by helicopter, boat, motorbike and cycle ending at the mini G festival in Gøta performing a full set. This unique occasion was documented on film to capture a truly unique country - its people, nature and culture - from a curious angle made to nurture the passion from music lovers on home turf as well as around the globe.

The album will be out in Autumn ‘08 and there's no doubt it will trigger the fastest rolling musical revival since Be Bop A Lula. Amen.

THERAPY?
REVEAL PRODUCER FOR FORTHCOMING ALBUM

Monday 21st July 2008

"THERAPY? are pleased to name ANDY GILL as the producer/mixer for their forthcoming album. Andy has worked on a host of diverse projects as a musician, producer, mixer and songwriter (Gang Of Four, Killing Joke, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Futureheads, Young Knives, The Jesus Lizard) etc…

Versions of new songs like “The Head That Tried To Strangle Itself”, “Low Winter Sun”,” I Told You I Was Ill” and “Mingusisyphus” illustrate the classic mix of intense instrumentation and dark pop that has made THERAPY? internationally renowned. Whilst most of their 90’s peers have been content to follow the options of rehash/reform/rollover, the UK trio have always carved their own unique musical furrow bolstered by a formidable live reputation and a stream of chart hits.

With the first half of 2008 spent writing and demoing, this exciting collaboration for THERAPY?’S 12th album proposes to be a career defining one. The as yet untitled album is due for release on DEMOLITION RECORDS imprint label, DR2 early 2009.

17/07/2008 CORNELL BANDMATES FORM RUN THROUGH THE DESERT | Debut album set for Autumn 2008 release | preview tracks on Myspace
While former Soundgarden/Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell was holed up in the studio with producer-of-the-moment Timbaland in early 2008, three members of his band used their downtime to join forces and breath life into a brand new group - Run Through The Desert (RTTD).

Accomplished and sought-after musicians who have built impressive careers recording and touring with some of the world's top artists, guitarist Yogi Lonich (ex-Buckcherry, The Wallflowers), drummer Jason Sutter (ex-American Hi-Fi, Smash Mouth) and bassist Corey McCormick ( ex-The Big Pill, Magnetico) have created much more than a mere side-project. Run Through The Desert fuses elements of classic, psychedelic and alternative rock to produce an eclectic and hypnotic mix of pounding drums, blistering guitar solos, solid bass rhythms and melodic vocals. Three exclusive preview tracks from their forthcoming debut album are available on their Myspace profile - www.myspace.com/runthroughthedesert.

GOLDBLADE

'Mutiny'

(Captain Oi! Records)

Release Date – September 8th 2008

Avast ye swabs! We got a mutiny!

Buccaneering crew Goldblade bring their swashbuckling galleon to the high seas once more for their fifth album, 'Mutiny' calling for revolution and booty! With a piratical glee and a blur of limbs and sweatshod torso they tear up the stage like a gang of mutant pirates armed with a lyrical cutlass of searing social commentary, fierce guitars and a sex, style and subversion of a holy fuck of a live show.

These mp3 pirates have a commitment to turn the too polished corporate pop world into a feral celebration of the primetime excitement of punk rock. They demand you sit up and take notice and they cackle as EMI and major dinosaurs collapse into ruins as the digital downloads tear the very fabric of the boring record industry.

The Manchester based band raise the skull and crossbones standard once more in a series of typically anthemic songs including June 2008’s top 75 hit ‘Jukebox Generation’.

These songs will be tearing mosh pits up worldwide as the band hit the road again for another globe trotting tour which includes the UK, Europe, the USA, Russia and maybe even India and China in the coming year.

'Mutiny’ features 13 songs from the sing-along call to arms of ‘Riot ‘, inspired by the LAPD tear gassing the 10, 000 strong audience at a Californian festival the band were playing and the riot cops in Moscow who went in mob handed on the massive mosh pit Goldblade had generated.

The album features the neo stooges/MC5 psychedelic punk rock freak out ‘Wake up! Wake up! You’re already dead’. There are anthemic songs about death and rock n roll like recent top 75 single ‘Jukebox Generation’ and caustic social commentary of 'everybody’s on drugs’.

Lyrically the album is razor sharp with front man John Robb’s ‘searing caustic social commentary’ (the Guardian) wordplay which saw him dubbed as ' one if the best lyricists in the UK right now' in the American press. Meanwhile Robb’s recent best selling book ‘Punk Rock An Oral History’ and upcoming acting debut and heavy-duty TV work are all signs of the band’s high profile.

‘Mutiny’ is the band’s best album and a rude and exciting sign of just how vibrant the UK punk rock scene is!

08/07/2008 GuilFest 2008 – An incredibly eclectic success!

“Best GuilFest ever – We can’t wait for next year!” - Christian Phillips from Taunton.

For a festival that was predicted to be a complete washout, GuilFest 2008 defied the doomsayers and escaped relatively unscathed by the terrible weather that ravaged most of the south of England at the weekend! The only real rain hitting the site Sunday morning was put to bed by the fantastic Dreadzone on the Ents24 stage – making the massive majority of the weekend exactly what the crowd had hoped for - an unbelievable mix of sunshine, good vibes, great music and plenty of laughter and smiles!

This year’s highlights were plentiful; praise has been finding its way to the GuilFest HQ for so many different acts! - It seems Steve Hillage’s System 7 and The Egg were Friday’s hits for many, but there were thousands of smiling faces at both the Levellers gig and Hallucinogen in the dance tent, all clearly loving the atmosphere of this years shindig!

Saturday saw rather brilliant performances from The Aliens, Dodgy and Kula Shaker – Not to mention a fabulous, (some have said seminal) show from Blondie. Elsewhere on the site local band Wobbly Squadron delighted crowds with their own brand of psychedelic funk, whilst fantastic DJ sets were seen from legend Krafty Kuts and local DJ Agent Smith amongst many, many others!

The rain came on Sunday morning – but that didn’t stop an amazing performance from Ents24 competition winners, The Rebs – who seemed to be thriving on the bad weather, and as the rain increased so to did the quality of their set! Great sets from Never the Bride, mad german rockers, The Boss Hoss, and antipodean outfit Shihad were also highlights of the day, but the real star of the day, if not the entire weekend had to be the rather controversial booking, The Australian Pink Floyd - who performed an incredible mix of Pink Floyd brilliance and closed the show with real class – proving to the naesayers that they were worthy of the top slot! Wow, what a performance!

Tony Scott, founder of GuilFest was delighted with this years festival, going as far as calling it “By far the best GuilFest ever! – Musically absolutely brilliant – especially the Australian Pink Floyd. I thought that Farmer Giles Barn Dance was particularly superb, but the comedy stage and acoustic stage also proved to be the best they had ever been - I can’t wait for next years festival”

All over the site there were pockets of sheer brilliance, from theatre performances of James Bond in the man in the moon theatre tent to mass hula-hooping outside the Ents24 stage to the great bag piping start of Les Mckeowns Legendary Bay City Rollers – great fun was had in all directions all weekend.

Roll on GuilFest 18 – See you all next year!!!!!!

08/07/2008 TK Webb & The Visions “Ancestor” (Kemado)

Release Date: September 1, 2008

“Jack White may wear a “blind willie mctell” t-shirt but his more obvious musical influences are the stones and led zeppelin. webb, on the other hand, is the kind of act jimmy and mick would take a limo up to harlem to catch at a small club.” – NY Press

“TK Webb is the undiscovered blues genius of the east village” – The Fader

TK (Thomas Kelly) Webb was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and began his musical journey around the age of 9 when he picked up his first guitar. By the age of thirteen, he had already played in a bunch of punk rock bands around town and continued honing his playing throughout the 90s. In 1999, TK made the decision to relocate to Brooklyn, NY, where he built a loyal following through his live performances, which ranged from blues-soaked acoustic shows to spaced out, feedback jams.

One thing that became clear was that TK was a truly gifted player, capable of producing some startlingly convincing Delta Blues. Following the release of TK Webb's second solo LP, Phantom Parade (Social Registry, 2006), dubbed by Rolling Stone Magazine as a four-star, “oddly gripping” effort, it was evident that Webb's songwriting was beginning to outgrow the sound that had peppered his solo efforts. The new songs that would go on to comprise the Ancestor record referenced the rock music that Webb had grown up on. This sparked his decision to form The Visions in the summer of 2007.

Joining Webb in the new band on second guitar is Brian Hale (ex-Love As Laughter), who had previously been accompanying Webb on bass following the release of Phantom Parade, Nic Gonzales (The Comas, Love As Laughter, Blood on the Wall) on drums, and Jordan Gable rounding out the line up on bass. This new cast helps take TK’s acoustic visions and plugs them in through the Marshall, making for a heavier, more cohesive listen than Webb’s previous work.

Produced by Matt Boynton at his Vacation Islands Studios in Brooklyn, Ancestor speaks of modern day paranoia, love, and a host of other human emotions many of us face in our day-to-day, making for not only an amazingly heavy, but also a sincerely beautiful recording.

Look out for Webb and his Visions as they plan to tour heavily in 2008 in support of their new effort, one that Webb is “very excited for people to hear.”

07/07/2008 THE MIRIMAR DISASTER
‘VOLUMES’ (Undergroove)

www.myspace.com/themirimardisaster

“A full-blown atom bomb of twisted riffs and utter devastation.” 4/5 Kerrang!

Sheffield’s epic titans The Mirimar Disaster make a welcome return to action with their incredible new mini album ‘Volumes’, set for release on September 01.

Following on from their critically acclaimed self-titled debut, ‘Volumes’ is the band’s statement of intent for the year 2008 and beyond.

Produced by Jason Sanderson (The Plight, Roli Romassi, The Legacy), ‘Volumes’ is a pile-driving riff-hungry monster, dirt-ball metal beast. Captured for the first time in the confines of a studio, ‘Volumes’ truly reflects the band’s already lethal live performances that have enthralled audiences across the board.

Since 2007 the band have toured the UK and played shows across the country with the likes of Genghis Tron, 65daysofstatic, Will Haven, Arch Enemy, Mastodon, The Ghost Of A Thousand, Devil Sold His Soul and Textures to name but a few.

It’s been an interesting ride for the quartet, who saw the exit of original singer Ian Stocky Stockdale only months after the release of their debut album. Although it was a curious departure, the band cited it as the only way The Mirimar Disaster could continue to evolve and grow. Now with guitarist Frank Forman stepping into the forefront, backed as always by drummer Iain ‘Slomo’ Scott, the reinvented quartet are clearly stronger and more confident than ever. And now having convinced audiences in a live setting, this line-up is clearly the right line-up: ‘Volumes’ is testament a band whose hunger, creative focus and determination is second to none.

From the off, with ‘Alms For Strangers’, ‘Volumes’ is a barbed-wired cluster fuck of pounding drums and twisted riffs, which continues into the colossal ‘Control. Alter Delete’. ‘Volumes’ also features a vocal guest appearance from Maria Christopher (of Massachusetts’ 27 – Undergroove / Relapse Records) in ‘The Town Of Empty Sound’ – showing a bleak and experimental nature of the band. The title track is a vitriolic groove-fest, while closer ‘Sing Hera’ brings ‘Volumes’ to a logical conclusion that leaves you wondering what’s just hit your ears!

With artwork released by the Drunken Marksman (AKA Jimbob Taint – Rise Above Records), ‘Volumes’ is arguably one of the most exciting and refreshing metal adventures to raise its ugly head from the UK’s underground. This new journey has only just begun……

Catch The Mirimar Disaster live in September:

04/07/2008 LUKESTAR

ALBUM LAKE TOBA RELEASED SEPTEMBER 22ND 2008 ON PHONE ME (TUBA) RECORDS

Lukestar’s sound is an otherworldly one; taking as much inspiration from Medieval mythical creatures as they do from post rock. An ethereal labyrinth of melodies, their sound is saturated with towering vocals and an ambience akin to Blonde Redhead, Sigur Ros or Mew yet with the pop sensibilities of early Weezer.

The band formed in 2002 and went on to release an EP and the debut album ‘Alpine Unit’ in 2004, culminating in tours of the UK and mainland Europe and establishing a strong fanbase. Yet it wasn’t until entering the studio to record ‘Lake Toba’- with producer Carl Vikman (Jeniferever, Nine) they came into their own.

The first single “White Shade” was released in their homeland late 2007 and was picked up instantly by Norwegian radio receiving playlist for over 8 weeks. Meanwhile the second single “The Shade You Hide” also featured on national radio for more than 18 weeks.

The album title refers to the Sumatran volcanic lake that erupted eons ago and may have changed the course of human evolution. Witness Lukestar’s muse come to life with their stunning album Lake Toba released in the UK on 22nd September 2008. Expect a tour October/November of this year.
