Thirty Seconds To Mars
Release new studio album ‘This Is War’ on December 7th on Virgin Records

Following up on their incredibly successful multi-Platinum album release ‘A Beautiful Lie,’ Thirty Seconds To Mars will release their highly anticipated upcoming record ‘This Is War’ on December 7th on Virgin Records. The album was produced by Flood (U2, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails), Steve Lillywhite (The Rolling Stones, U2) and Thirty Seconds To Mars. The first single is ‘Kings and Queens’ which will be released on November 30th.

In an innovative and exciting move, ‘This Is War’ will have 2000 different album covers featuring individual photos of fans from around the world. From today, fans will be able to submit photos to be used for the covers by pointing their browser to http://www.thirtysecondstomars.com. The first 2000 photos to be uploaded that follow the proper specifications will become album covers. The campaign will run until 2000 usable covers have been uploaded to thefaceofmars@gmail.com.

Thirty Seconds To Mars’ Jared Leto (vocals, guitar, songwriter), Shannon Leto (drums) and Tomo Miličević (guitar) teamed up with their fan community, The Echelon, earlier this year to record sounds for the upcoming record in a groundbreaking event they dubbed The Summit. The band invited The Echelon members to travel to Los Angeles to take part in an impromptu recording session at Hollywood’s Avalon Club. It was so successful that since then Thirty Seconds to Mars decided to hold summits in eight more countries across the world (Australia, Italy, Germany, France, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom, Canada) in order to give their biggest supporters an opportunity to be a part of their new album.

With over 100 million views on YouTube, 40 million plays on MySpace and more than one million fans on iLike/Facebook, Thirty Seconds To Mars have always been quick to embrace digital culture and with the immense success they had with The Summit, decided to use that same digital technology to offer their fans a chance to get involved in the record making process through Twitter as well. The Digital Summit kicked off on Monday, August 10th and through the twitvid.com <http://twitvid.com/mars> technology allowed fans to record sounds and vocals from their personal computers and mobile devices for inclusion on the album. The Digital Summit was a top 10 trending topic on Twitter during the two week promotion, garnering sixty thousand page views and 3000 unique sound recordings submitted from fans across the world.

Formed by brothers Jared and Shannon Leto, Thirty Seconds to Mars have won numerous awards and accolades, including an MTV Video Music Award, three MTV EMA’s, an MTV Latin and Asia Award, a Fuse Award, and three Kerrang! Awards. Thirty Seconds to Mars’ second album,A Beautiful Lie’ hit platinum status after almost two years of heavy touring and winning fans over, one by one.

The media caught on too, Alternative Press raved that the band "...just might be rock's best-kept secret.  He [Jared Leto] sings with a range and ease that makes cathedrals jealous" while the Washington Post exclaimed, "hard-driving guitar riffs and powerful vocals carry this head banging outfit all the way to the rock-race finish line." The record spawned two Top 5 Modern Rock singles,From Yesterday’ and ‘The Kill’ and the latter set a radio record for the longest-running hit in the history of Modern Rock radio play when it remained on the national airplay chart for more than 50 weeks following its #3 peak in 2006. ‘From Yesterday’ was the band’s first #1 at the format and its epic video was the first American music video ever shot in the People's Republic of China.

Thirty Seconds To Mars have over 500 live performances under their belts since the release of ‘A Beautiful Lie,’ including major festival shows like Lollapalooza in the United States, Holland’s Pinkpop Festival and Japan’s Summer Sonic, which has earned them a growing, loyal, global fan base.

Status Quo

To Headline on Sun. July 18th

Status Quo, who have sold over 118 million records worldwide, recorded 64 British Hit Singles and had more hit albums (32) in the UK album charts than any other band apart from the Rolling Stones, have been confirmed to headline GuilFest on Sunday July 18th.

Status Quo have notched up 22 top ten UK singles since their first, ‘Pictures Of Matchstick Men’, reached number 7 in the UK chart in January 1968, spending over seven and a half years in the British singles chart in all.

Status Quo, who hold the record for the most appearances on Top Of The Pops (106!) promise to play a plethora of unforgettable rock’n’roll anthems such as ‘Paper Plane’, ‘Caroline’, ‘Down Down’, ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’, ‘Whatever You Want’, ‘The Wanderer’ and ‘In The Army Now’.

GuilFest has been consistently voted as one of the UK's best family festivals.  Held in the idyllic location of Stoke Park, Guildford, visitors can expect a truly fantastic weekend, featuring 7 stages of live music hosting a mind blowing 200 great acts – including the now famous Rock Cave, featuring some of the best rock acts in the UK; and the Dance Tent - which in previous years has featured huge DJ sets from artists such as Rusko  and Pendulum.

It's not just about the music at GuilFest though; around the site you can find the hilarious Cosmic Comedy Zone, the Theatre tent, the incredibly popular Farmer Giles Barn Dance, street theatre, arts and crafts, delicious food and drink from all over the globe, bars and cocktail bars, one of the best festival children's areas on the circuit, The KidZone, and much more besides.  Also - back by popular demand and much larger for 2010 will be the jumping 70's disco tent.

With Christmas just around the corner, this year the festival is offering a Christmas early bird ticket offer. 1000 weekend and camping tickets are now available at a reduced price with adult tickets reduced by £10 and Kids tickets reduced by £5.

On top of the early bird ticket, GuilFest is also offering a group discount!  For every 8 weekend or weekend and camping tickets purchased, festival goers will receive an extra one for free!

These offers are only available until Christmas Eve.

BON JOVI

Live At Madison Square Garden
DVD and Blu-ray Released November 23rd

The world’s biggest and best live band release an incredible document of their return to Madison Square Garden, New York City’s most iconic venue.

For a group born across the water in New Jersey, ‘The Garden’ was the always a holy grail, the marker that they had made it.  19 years to the day after the band first performed there, they returned to the same stage for the last date of their historic Lost Highway tour, officially the biggest tour on the planet in 2008.

Created by award winning Director, Anthony M. Bongiovi and shot with 23 High Definition cameras, Live From Madison Square Garden features a career spanning set list including Have A Nice Day, Always, Wanted Dead Or Alive, Livin’ On A Prayer and even a cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah that Cohen himself rates as his favourite version. This is a snapshot of a band 25 years into a record breaking career and still hitting their peak in the live arena.

The Blu-ray version contains a special extra, filmmaker Phil Griffin’s recently released Bon Jovi documentary When We Were Beautiful. Following the band on 2008’s world tour and panning back through their history, it is a fascinating insight into the workings, art, camaraderie, ups and downs of a truly megastar rock band.

With Bon Jovi’s latest album The Circle just released and their O2 Arena residency in summer 2010 to come, Live At Madison Square Garden, captures exactly what the UK has to look forward to.

Cobra Starship are the brainchild of ex-Midtown frontman Gabe Saporta. After the inclusion of their killer track ‘Bring It (Snakes On A Plane)’ on the hit movie’s soundtrack things soon took off and it was time for Gabe to get a full band together. He enlisted old friends Alex Suarez and Ryland Blackington from This Is Ivy League for bass and guitar duties respectively, and drummer Nate Navarro, Victoria Asher took on the role of keytar and the line-up was complete. With the aim of, “teaching hipsters to not take themselves so seriously and telling emo kids to stop being pussies”, the band released their first album - While The City Sleeps, We Rule The Streets, and extensive tours with the likes of Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and 30 Seconds to Mars soon followed. 2007 saw the release of the acclaimed “¡Viva La Cobra!” – which featured the singles “The City Is At War” and “Guilty Pleasure”.

Forthcoming album Hot Mess is receiving a flurry of ecstatic press reviews stateside with People declaring it “a sexy, synthed-up come on that proves irresistible,” whilst Billboard praised Hot Mess as “full of rhythmic dance songs and power-pop anthems,” and Rolling Stone hailed the album as “packed with electro-sleaze tunes that go over the top in both their bright sound – sassy hook-singing girls are prevalent – and wink-wink mien.”

Currently out on a sold out headline tour across the US, the band are renowned for their killer live show (“a riot of colour and flavour” – Kerrang!). May 2009 saw them complete a sold-out UK tour (which included a date at London’s ULU), the band will return to our shores early next year - full details to be announced shortly.

Cobra Starship are:

Gabe Saporta – Vocals
Ryland Blackinton – Guitar

www.floodofred.co.uk

Jordan Spiers – vocals | Sean McGroarty – guitar | Calum Doris - guitar & backing vocals  |  Jamie McGowan - bass guitar | Dale Gallacher - keyboards | Graham Griffith - drums

Following the release of Flood of Red’s debut album through their own label Dark City exclusively at www.floodofred.co.uk, the band will be hitting the road hard on the lead-up to Christmas.

Firstly, the band head out with We Are The Ocean next week. Vocalist Jordan says about the announcement of Flood of Red’s addition to the tour - “We have never really had the chance to play a good set of shows with We Are The Ocean and we’re all stoked about it. With both our debut albums recorded with producer Brian McTernan and both out this very year, it’s an exciting time for both our bands.”

Of The Xcerts Christmas Tour in Scotland, Jordan has the following to say – “The Xcerts are one of the most talented young bands out there and we have been good friends with them for several years now. Every opportunity we get to play with each other is an enjoyable one. Expect lots of crazy festive surprises when we pair up to tour in December, it’s gonna be awesome!”

Flood Of Red formed in Airdrie, a satellite town twelve miles east of Glasgow in 2004. Starting out as a trio who met via school and the local skate scene, they soon expanded to a sextet. The band went straight out on tour just months after their formation, all aged just seventeen. Fast-forward to January 2nd 2009 when Flood Of Red flew to Baltimore, Maryland where they spent a month recording their debut album with punk rock extraordinaire producer Brian McTernan  (Cave In, Thrice, Converge) in his Salad Days studio. Having been so far on their journey up to this point, Flood Of Red are now more than ready to share their lovingly crafted debut full-length with the world as they continue to tour tirelessly in support of the record.

www.entershikari.com    www.myspace.com/entershikari

www.twitter.com/entershikari

PART I

In a display of generosity, Enter Shikari offers to the world a free download of the previously unreleased 'radio mix' of album track 'Wall'. Originally remixed by 'Common Dreads' producer Andy Gray specifically for radio promo use, the track was deemed too different and of interest to fans to remain locked away, but too similar to the original to have the cheek to charge cold hard cash for. So, instead, it’s being offered out as a free download for anyone that wants to take it.

The track can be found here: www.musicglue.com/entershikari

PART II

Enter Shikari are proud as all hell to be able to announce the fantastic The King Blues as special guests for their UK tour in February 2010. The tour includes a date at Blackpool's majestic Empress Ballroom and the band's largest headline show of their career, London's Hammersmith Apollo.

The full dates look like:

Saturday 6th Feb - BLACKPOOL - Empress Ballroom

Sunday 7th Feb - GLASGOW - Barrowlands

Tuesday 9th Feb - MIDDLESBROUGH - Empire

Friday 12th Feb - LONDON - Hammersmith Apollo

All shows are 14+, any other act[s] are still TBC. You can grab tickets from www.crowdsurge.com/entershikari and a host of other ticket outlets.

Following their European Arena tour supporting The Prodigy - due to start next week (12th Nov in Finland) - Enter Shikari are honoured to find themselves invited to join The Prodigy again next year, this time for their biggest ever headline show.

Confirmed for July 16/17/18

& Early Bird Ticket Xmas Offer Announced!!!

Following the massively successful, rammed to the hedges GuilFest 2009 Festival, GuilFest 2010 has now been confirmed to take place over the weekend of 16th, 17th & 18th of July in the beautiful grounds of Stoke Park, Guildford Surrey.

With Christmas just around the corner, this year the festival is offering a Christmas early bird ticket offer. 1000 weekend and camping tickets are now available at a reduced price with adult tickets reduced by £10 and Kids tickets reduced by £5.

On top of the early bird ticket, GuilFest is also offering a group discount.  For every 8 weekend or weekend and camping tickets purchased, festival goers will receive an extra one for free!

These offers are only available until Christmas Eve.

GuilFest 2009 was one of only a handful of UK Festivals which grew their audience in a shrinking economy. Saturday’s bill, featuring Brian Wilson was a complete sell-out, while overall ticket sales increased by more than 20%.

Reviewed by VirtualFestivals.com as “A magnificent festival”, 2009’s event was praised for its feel good atmosphere all weekend.  eFestivals.co.uk even went as far as saying “I wonder how on earth you can better the festival next year!”

The search for 2010’s line-up is well under way, with a first announcement scheduled very soon.

Green Day

Announce first outdoor shows since the release of ‘21st Century Breakdown’; tour includes the band’s first ever Wembley Stadium show

“The fact that 20,000 people holler every word of American Idiot’s rejection of a “redneck agenda” is both exhilarating and encouraging… It’s all perfectly pitched and unexpectedly fantastic” – The Guardian, 23/10/09, London O2

“The beauty about this gang of gracefully grown-up punks is how they have mastered the art of making the orchestrated seem improvised and how they make every voice in the room feel like it’s the most important” – Kerrang!, 20/10/09,  Belfast Odyssey Arena

“Green Day’s greatest accomplishment is the manner in which they’ve constructed a supremely cohesive whole out of such seemingly disparate parts. The characters, themes and motifs that recur throughout 21st Century Breakdown are marshalled into an engrossing narrative that recalls both Bruce Springsteen and novelist Chuck Palahniuk” – Observer Music Monthly review of the ‘21st Century Breakdown’ album

Green Day’s recent sold-out tour wowed audiences with the band’s inimitable combination of frenzied punk energy, theatrical flourishes and euphoric crowd participation. Reiterating their status as one of the world’s most electrifying live bands, the shows featured a huge array of Green Day’s hits including ‘Basket Case’, ‘Longview’, ‘Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)’, ‘Minority’, ‘American Idiot’, ‘Wake Me Up When September Ends’, ‘Know Your Enemy’ and ’21 Guns.’

Now Green Day can confirm their first UK stadium shows since their famous two-night stand at Milton Keynes National Bowl in 2005 that was later documented in their live album ‘Bullet In A Bible’. In addition to the two shows on these shores, the full details of which are as below, Green Day will also play the Parc des Princes in Paris on June 26th.
