16/10/2006 SENSES FAIL - STILL SEARCHING

Vagrant Records are set to release Senses Fail’s second full-length Still Searching. It has been nearly two years since the Bergen County, New Jersey five piece released its debut full-length CD Let It Enfold You (Vagrant) and much has happened for the band in that time. They have seen that CD go on to sell over 300,000 copies; they’ve graced the covers of magazines, performed live on national television and toured the world.

Recording for the highly anticipated Still Searching began in May of 2006 with acclaimed producer Brian McTernan (Thrice, Cave-In) at Bearsville Studio in upstate NY. The band entered the studio with a new guitarist, Heath Saraceno. Saraceno joined Senses Fail’s original members, vocalist James "Buddy" Nielsen, guitarist Garrett Zablocki, bassist Mike Glita and drummer Dan Trapp, to create what is the certainly the band’s most adventurous musical effort to date. Still Searching was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, AFI, Stone Temple Pilots).

Still Searching features a new musical cohesiveness resulting from hundreds of shows and tens of thousands of miles on the road. “It has been almost three years since we have written a new record and the long wait allowed us to change in ways we never thought possible,” explains Nielsen. “This record is the account of those years. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it."

To support the release of Still Searching, Senses Fail will embark on a standing-room-only club tour in late September through the first week of October. Immediately following the club dates the band will fly out to join the Taste Of Chaos Tour for a seven week jaunt through Australia, Japan and Western Europe.

The inaugural UK Get Happy Tour brings together four bands who are guaranteed to beat the winter blues.

Regularly selling out UK tours since 2003 and their top ten hit “Girl All The Bad Guys Want”, Bowling For Soup make an eagerly anticipated return to the UK to support their forthcoming album “The Great Burrito Extortion Case”, which promises more of their unashamedly upbeat mix of punk and power-pop. An undeniably fun band whose music wins over even the most die-hard metal fan - just ask anyone at Download 2005! www.myspace.com/bowlingforsoup

The Get Happy Tour is the long-overdue live touring debut of Son Of Dork. With two top ten hits under their belts and a second album on the way, former Busted star James Bourne’s band are ready to earn their rock stripes. www.myspace.com/sonofdork

Wheatus, the band who brought us the one of the first break-out pop-punk smashes, “Teenage Dirtbag”, are masters of the clever lyric and catchy chorus. With their insanely energetic performances and sublime blend of keyboards and hard rocking guitars, Ventura sixpiece Army Of Freshmen have gained a massive loyal following in the UK. They bring a much needed slice of sunny California to Britain and release their long awaited debut album “Under The Radar” in early February. The album's first single, "Juliet", can be seen on the band's myspace page. www.myspace.com/armyoffreshmen

THE YOUNG KNIVES
The Decision
Transgressive Records
October 30th 2005

“An especially English blend of wit, gloom and vitriol with outstanding results” **** Q,
“You owe it to Blighty to cock an ear to these perfect gentlemen” ****, Uncut
“By the 20-minute mark, you feel you’re listening to music sprinkled with miracle and wonder” ****, Mojo
“Staccato nerd-punk!” GQ
“A formidable pop-punk outfit” Daily Mail,
“The year’s most instantly catchy indie pop punk melodies” Album of the Month, The Fly
“They might look like mild mannered geography teachers, but believe, when they hit the stage spittle will fly, glasses will fall and their neatly pressed shirts will become very sweaty indeed” Clash
“One of the hot bands of the moment” The Independent
‘The best British album by a guitar band in donkey’s years’ The Observer
‘This years most eccentric pop buttons they might be, but don’t underestimate the young knives might’ NME

It’s certainly been an outstanding year for The Young Knives. Their debut album ‘Voices of animals and men’ debuted in the uk charts at number 21, last single ‘Hot Summer’ hit the uk top 40 once again and they triumphed with their live shows at numerous uk and European festivals, highlights including this years V festival where they played to a packed out tent of over 3,000 people spilling out the sides, and more recently in the sun on the main stage at Bestival, a truly memorable affair. In addition the Knives were last week crowned as 6 Music’s festival band of the year by listeners.

Our tweed clad heroes saw their anthemic summer release, ‘Weekends and Bleak Days (Hot Summer)’ become daytime play listed on XFM, MTV2 and Radio 1, reinstating their impact on 2006. With a massive array of amazing press on their debut album under their belt, the band who recently appeared on Channel 4’s Transmission and the Channel 4 breakfast show, are fast getting a reputation as one of the best and most entertaining live acts in the country.

Tickets for the band’s October headline are going quickly. Venues which have already sold out (4 weeks in advance) include: London Astoria, Manchester academy 2, Birmingham Academy 2, Oxford Zodiac (first show), York, Leeds. There are limited tickets at the further dates.

The Young Knives finish off the year’s success with the return of club hit ‘The Decision’, previously released on limited edition 7” in 2005. Featuring some of the greatest off-kilter lyrics you’re likely to hear this year (key line -”I am the Prince of Wales / And if all else fails / I am the Prince of Wales…”), this is destined to become a true classic. From the moment the first pounding drum rips through the opening guitar line, there’s a sense of urgency at work of almost theatrical proportions. Lead vocal duties are taken by bassist The House Of Lords who delivers a performance quite indicative of his title. There is an untamed ferocity to his delivery on the verses, softened only by brother Henry’s gorgeous, other-worldly melody on the chorus.

Much of the song’s character comes from its quintessential Englishness. A subtle eccentricity and a quiet, indefinable sadness to the song that more than any clichéd lyric, or naff fish and chips gesture, creates something of real class and poignancy. ‘The Decision’ could hail as classic pop from any time in the last 25 years, yet somehow fits impeccably now: certainly better than the ill-tailored, tweed suits worn by the band.

Pop music, yes. But most certainly not throwaway.

The Young Knives tour the UK in October with support from The Grates and Polytechnic

Visible Noise
Presents…
BRING ME THE HORIZON

Kerrang Award winners Bring me the Horizon
Release debut album ‘Count Your Blessings’, 30th October
NOW ADDED TO LOSTPROPHETS NOVEMBER UK TOUR 06

‘Britain’s Most Explosive New Band’ - Kerrang July 06

Following on from their Kerrang Awards Best UK Newcomer victory, October 30th sees the highly anticipated release of the debut full length album on Visible Noise (lostprophets, Bullet for my Valentine) from one of THE hottest new bands in the UK at the moment, Sheffield’s own Bring Me the Horizon. The release date is a day before their biggest headline show so far, a massive Halloween special at the Mean Fiddler on the 31st Oct. This debut album is a real shot of much needed youth and adrenaline for the UK metal scene and follows on from the 2006 re-release of the highly acclaimed ‘This is what the edge of your seat was made for’, that was originally put out through top independent label 30 Days and Nights Records in 04

The album is full of what people have already come to expect from Bring me the Horizon, breakdowns, massive riffs, time signatures, tempo changes, immense vocals, shredding solos, blistering percussion, etc. BUT, the experience of working with top producer Dan Sprigg (lostprophets, Cradle of Filth) has brought a new found maturity out of the guys, a more solid direction and focus in song writing and structure. All the ingredients are there to see ‘Count Your Blessings’ set Bring me the Horizon as a real bench mark band for 2006 and beyond!!! RAWWWRR indeed!!!!

2006 really has seen the BMTH guys grow up in public, from being a new, riotous and exciting underground act, to being a Download slaying, Bleeding Through and Killswitch Engage touring, Kerrang Award winning, rock press covered full on massive metal band all of their own. They have also slayed the Kerrang day of Rock, Collision Course, Ghost Fest, a sold out summer UK tour, dates with Aiden and a Radio 1 Rock Show Session, and of course, beating the likes of Brigade, The Automatic and Enter Shikari to win the Kerrang Best Newcomer award in August 06. The guys also have a MASSIVE UK headline tour in October and November AND will now also be on the LOSTPROPHETS November/December UK tour!!!! Miss this band at your peril, ‘Count Your Blessings’ is THE UK metal record of the year!!!

****************************************************************************************************************

What are the Academy Awards? (The LAAs) A ground breaking national music
event in its third year dedicated to supporting musicians under the age of
18.

Faculty member Mark Clayden / 'Pitchshifter' said,
"Battle of the Bands competitions have become a joke. The LAA's are an
awesome multi-level voting system in which the bands receive votes from a
live audience, an Internet audience and a professional music industry panel.
We test a bands determination and give them a real insight into making it in
the business. There are some amazing bands out there and we have set up the
Academy Awards to support them."

Four Hundred and Fifty (450) bands from across the UK registered for this
years event, one hundred (100) bands were selected by the Liquidisco faculty
members, eighty seven (87) bands competed in regional heats across Wales,
Scotland, Northern Ireland, The North, The North West, East Anglia, South
Central, South East, South West, The East and West Midlands. Twelve (12)
bands are set to play the grand final.

The grand final is the opportunity of a lifetime for talented young bands
to perform their own songs in front of an audience of thousands at a
world-class venue and to a panel of industry professionals. Grand final
prizes include: a mini UK tour, a week in a recording studio, 1000 CD's
pressed and the coveted Title Trophy. ITV and Kerrang Radio are providing

it the biggest thanks list in the world (the previous record is set at 1500
names).

PANIC AT THE DISCO

Single: ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’
Release Date: 30th October 2006
Label: Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen

Las Vegas quartet Panic! At The Disco are set to release their third single from their debut album 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out'. ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ will be released on 30th October and available on CD and limited edition 7'' picture disc & gatefold 7'' vinyl.

‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ was released digitally back in February shortly before their debut album 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out' hit the stores. The album has already gone gold in the UK and is still flying off the shelves...the band have also announced four headline dates at Brixton Academy this Autumn, all of which are already sold out!.

Last week saw the boys come through as the underdogs of the night at the recent VMA Awards held in NY, where they put on a spectacular performance of the single, and scooped up the top award of the night 'Video Of The Year' for '‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ beating of competition from Red Hot Chillie Peppers, Christina Aguilera and Madonna.

Panic’s popularity is not only resident to the UK, album sales figures are now in the region of 1.2 million copies worldwide, seeing them go Platinum in the U.S and Canada. And the bands forthcoming Australian tour dates sold out within a matter of minutes, (6 minutes in the case of the Sydney venue)

This combined with the amazing UK live reaction and the online-buzz around the band means the music is spreading across the globe in high speed, and that certainly includes the UK!.

09/10/2006 Paramore
SINGLE ‘Pressure’
Released on October 30th 2006

Tennessee 5-piece Paramore will release their single Pressure on October 30th through Fueled by Ramen records. This will be a download release only. The track is taken from their debut album ‘All We Know Is Falling’, which was released earlier this summer.

Paramore describe their music simply as energetic, emotional and fun and Pressure gives off these in equal measure, demonstrating a chemistry that clearly sets this young 5-piece apart from their peers.

The band was born of the friendship between 17 year old vocalist Hayley Williams and brothers Josh and Zac Farro (lead guitar and drums respectively) and is completed by bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Hunter Lamb. All precociously talented musicians, the kinetic rhythms and surprisingly intricate guitars provide the perfect foundation for Paramore’s infectious pop hooks and Hayley’s disarmingly honest vocals.

Their live show is an explosion of high energy that showcases the band’s relentless drive and desire to connect with and entertain the audience, and their enthusiasm is catching. Having made their debut appearance in the UK earlier this year, at the Give It A Name festival, wowing UK audiences all over the country, Paramore are set to return to these shores for a headline tour in October.

EASYKILL release 'National Record Of Achievement' mini album on UglyTruth/Sony BMG on Nov 13 2006.

*********************************************************************************************************************

"Young Cornish band Easykill sound like a nascent Warrior Soul, and at
this early stage in their career that is praise indeed. Definitely ones to
watch" - Kerrang!

"Record companies are sniffing around the foursome's ankles, mainly thanks
to their Deftones guitars and the poses thrown by singer Kye Blackett" - NME

"Solos like Jerry Cantrel wrestling Tom Morello's guitar and a vocal
delivery like an evil Dave Grohl out-shouting Kurt Cobain" - Metal Hammer

"A great debut single (Think It Over), a set of riff heavy songs
influenced by Foo Fighters, Fugazi and Soundgarden, an energetic live show
and a rapidly growing fanbase" - Sunday Times Culture

Punk/grunge/alternative noiseniks Easykill release their debut mini album
'National Record Of Achievement', on November 13 on UglyTruth/SonyBMG.

For the first new material since their warmly received download-only
single Think It Over, the young Cornish band have teamed up with The
Subways' producer Jon Gray, who produced and mixed the 7 track release in a
no frills, bank-manager friendly 12 day session in London's Fortress
Studios.

Since emerging from Cornwall in 2005 playing their first gigs alongside
names such as Hell Is For Heroes, Armor For Sleep, Fightstar and Hundred
Reasons, the band have kept on the road in their post office van, pausing
only long enough to do enough gardening to pay the cost of the petrol.

With a sound described as "Rage Against The Machine meets Fugazi",
Easykill's punk spirit runs deep throughout their heavy grunge-influenced
sound, which looks set to do for Cornwall what Funeral For A Friend and
Lostprophets have done to put Wales on the musical map.

The nucleus of the band - guitarist/vocalist Sean Lascelles (22), drummer
Rich White (22), bassist Vasey (22) - have been jamming together since their
early teens. But their line-up as Easykill was only completed in 2005. Sick
of treading water in their hometown of St Agnes in Cornwall, Sean, Vasey and
Rich jumped a ride to London in the summer of 2005, taking up residence in a
one-room Streatham basement. Meanwhile Kye Blackett (also 22) was on the
gigging circuit with his old band all over London's network of live venues.
Fast forward 5 months to a North London pub, a disagreement, a chat, some
common ground, a lot of drinks, numbers exchanged. Jamming sessions under
the arches at Waterloo, in a Streatham basement and on the Aggie surf shop
steps set the foundation of the band's sound. With songs coming in thick and
fast, the band prepared for their first gig supporting The Rakes. All that
was needed was a name.

When everyone is an easy target, easily dispensable, easily replaceable,
easily hurt, easily pleased, easily led and easily replicated, then it's not
an easy time to live in. Everyone is an easykill, and enemy lines are a
whole lot closer...

Catch the band at a special Halloween headline show to launch their new
album:

Australian rockers Dallas Crane are all set to blaze a trail in Blighty
with the release of their 'Dirty Hearts' album TODAY!!!

Already big news in their native Australia (their last Oz released record
sold a blistering 25,000 copies, and the new album looks set to go Gold),
they offer up prime slabs of bluesy rock which are as infectious as bird
flu!

With a sound that owes as much to Small Faces as AC/DC, the quartet began
their journey to become an "overnight sensation" when they met while working
in Melbourne!

Dave Larkin (vocal, guitar), Shan Vanderwert (drums, vocal), Pete Satchell
(guitar, vocal) and Chris Brodie (bass) spent the next two years playing
gigs and taking their show on the road with several of Australia's largest
alternative acts. After touring to the point of exhaustion the band hit the
studio. Bluesy romps like "Sit On My Knee" and "Sweet FA" became instant
live favourites while "Sold Me" showcased their sublime song writing skills.

"No Through Road" brought Pat Bourke (bass) into the fold and the band
embarked on another extensive tour which culminated with their appearance at
Australia's premier Oz only music festival - Homebake.

Not long after their blistering set at The Big Day Out, the band signed a
recording and publishing deal with Australian iconic label, Albert
Productions, and headed straight to the studio with producer Wayne Connolly
to record their self-titled album.

Scooping 3 ARIA nominations for Best Rock Album, Breakthrough Artist
Single, and Breakthrough Album the album featured 'Numb All Over' and 'Dirty
Hearts' which also claimed two spots on the JJJ Hottest 100.

All this while the band continued a relentless touring schedule including
several trips to both sides of the continent with The Living End and Jet.

Now 'Dirty Hearts' will offer UK audiences a chance to hear what all the
fuss is about. This early taster of the DALLAS CRANE experience should be
grabbed with both hands!
