We’ve been together for about 5 years, and have had a number of line-up changes, our line up has come together through recommendations and random encounters, and maybe a cheeky bit of head hunting in the process. What are the band member’s names and what are their roles? Chris Alexander: Guitar, Vocals So who are your main influences? What we see as inspiration doesn't come from who's on the front cover of every magazine that week. It’s the fearless bands that we’ve met out there, touring and relentlessly working hard to produce albums/live shows with substance. That and Enya Which other bands do you admire and why? We really admire band that aren’t afraid to stand out and do things differently even it compromises their success, out favourite bands are Oceansize, Aerogramme, Rueben and the Mars Volta, although they aren’t the most popular or mainstream we strongly believe they make the better music. Is there any other band or individual that you would like to work with? We’d love to work with Biffy Clyro or Oceansize, or basically anyone we admire, we’ve always wanted to do a joint e.p with someone maybe changing our identities in the process. What is your favourite gig that you have played? So far our most favourite gig was our recent e.p launch in Glasgow, it was a total shock to us to see exactly how many people turned up see us, we were totally flattered and the gig had the most amazing energy and atmosphere. Where do you see yourselves, career wise, this time next year? This time next year we plan to have an album in the works and be touring more and visiting new fantastical places. What is the maddest thing you have ever done? Pursued a musical career, there ’s been a lot of stupid stuff we’ve did on tour like fighting the hells angels and swallowing live goldfish. Are there any countries you would like to tour in and why? We’ve been to Belgium a few times and the crowds there amazing, we’d also love to go to Sweden and Japan. If you could swap places with someone for a day, who would it be and why? I (Neil) would love to know what Kate Bush is up to. If you could never play music again, what do you think you would do with your life? I think I would probably go ahead with my art, ive always had a little fantasy of being a comic artist or maybe a computer game concept artist. If you were a superhero what would your name be and what special powers would you have? I would like to be downhill man, so wherever I went everywhere would be downhill and life would be that little bit easier. If you were arranging a one day festival, what would be your dream line up? The Pixies
