We are really looking forward to it!! This will be our 4th time i think... I think we were chosen this year as it seems to be one of the best so far for us as a band. When did you know you were playing? We found out a couple of months back that we were playing but only about the Main Stage like a month ago... Will you be spending the whole weekend at the festivals? Because we have to Travel between Reading and Leeds that isn't possible anymore... I used to spend all weekend before the band became a festival band, but it's still as enjoyable.. Just slightly different. Is there anyone else you are looking forward to seeing at the festivals? Always love watching Prodigy... Wanted to see Deftones so bad, but they are on a different day!! Boo Hoo Do you have any funny festival experiences, either as a performer or a paying attendee? There was a really mad one at Download festival last year, as i go all weekend as a ritual, i got really wasted on the Friday on some Thai Rum, that overproof stuff, Blacked out, did some really crazy shit, embarrassed myself in front of friends and fans and then got reprimanded by my Tent neighbour in the morning who thought i was killing someone in my tent the night before. Fortunately the young lady in question had a lovely night!! Hahahahah You have already played at Download Festival this year and are headlining the 2000 Trees festival too. What has been your favourite Festival to date, since the band started? For me personally, Download festival wins hands down every time... I just feel so at home there... The Best!!! How would you describe your perfect festival? Download Festival, Free Booze, Strict No Clothes Policy, 24 hour party Tents with good Metal playing constantly, clean toilets and Showers. You have come a long way since you first started the band and people thought that you might be a one hit wonder. How did you feel about that at the time and does it feel good to prove them all wrong? We really didn't know what to think of it at the time, we were kinda forced into the limelight because of circumstance and we just had to do our thing. It feels great to be able to turn around to those nay Sayers and say "Sorry mate, but we are still here.. And i don't think we are going anywhere for a while!!" You have toured a lot during the past year. What is the main thing you look forward to doing when you get home at the end of a tour? Sitting on my loo... I don't know if it's just me, but there is nothing like your own 4 walls of your toilet at home... Venue toilets are the worst most of the time, festival ones are a joke, so that is a real pleasure to get back to! What do you do to relax before and after a gig or festival show? Before the show, general chilled vibes... No alcohol at all... Just water all day so the muscles are responding quick enough. Lots of stretching and relaxational breathing. After the show, pure carnage... 1 bottle of Jaeger, 1 bottle of Jack plenty of party vibes until I fall into a drink induced coma! WIN! |
