You have been booked to play at the UK Sonisphere festival this year. Are you looking forward to it and will you be playing any of the other Sonisphere Festivals? We're massively looking forward to it. It's a real shame that we don't seem to be playing any of the other Sonisphere festivals, but you never know. Things are going so well these days that I wouldn't be surprised if we got added at the last minute. Once people hear the album I have a hunch that things will start to pick up. our new album Chutzpah! Is released on 31st August. What is your favourite track on the album? Yes, I have a different favourite every day! Mostly it alternates between The Only One and Mazel Tov Cocktail, but for sheer audacity my overall favourite has to be Chutzpah. It's less than four minutes long and is as crazy a song as we've ever recorded. You have a tour coming up in September to promote the album. Who will be your support act/ s and which date are you looking forward to the most and why? We are asking a couple of bands in Europe about doing it, and there are also a couple of UK bands I'm really excited about. I can't say who these bands are as yet because negotiations are still taking place. Is there anyone else you are looking forward to seeing at the Sonisphere festival? I have no idea who's playing, to be honest. We just love to play festivals, it doesn't matter to us who else is on the bill, they're still great fun nonetheless. Do you have any funny festival experiences, either as a performer or a paying attendee? Yes, a lot. Some way too explicit to mention here and others where you simply had to be there to do the story justice. Our last appearance at Download festival takes some beating, where we had the audience hurl stuff at the stage, in good humour I may add. The festival organisers didn't see it in the spirit it was intended, just a bit of old school festival tomfoolery, so they pulled the power on our set, right at the last song. Ironically we couldn't decide what the last song was going to be. so they saved us the hassle of figuring it out and ultimately made the set better. What other bands would you like to share the stage with past or present? The Stones would be the ultimate. I'd kill to play with those guys. As far as anyone else is concerned, I think that if I could play on a bill with Mastodon and The Bronx I could happily retire that day, knowing it was all going to go downhill from there. But I have so many bands and artists I love I could be here for years trying to answer this question. I'd love to see Rammstein headline a festival, so I'll add that one there in the spirit of fate. How would you describe your perfect festival? I guess I just did. Rammstein headlining, Mastodon and The Bronx in there. Maybe Ryan Adams playing too. And Maria McKee. Steve Earle would be nice. Can we make that happen? Can we, can we? What has been the highlight of your career so far? I can't answer that as the highlights are always happening. E verything is a highlight as far as I'm concerned. If you hadn’t been in a band, what do you think you would have done with your life career wise? Either been involved in film or become a UFO researcher, or possibly be a writer. If you could change places with anyone for a day – who would it be and why? Letitia Casta. What would I do? None of your damned business. Don't you know better than to ask a lady a question like that?
