You have been booked to play at the GuilFest festival this year. Are you looking forward to it and how did the booking come about?

Well after two years of selling my body to get a slot at Guilfest, they've finally let us play 2009 because we're actually really good! Kidding! This year has been the best year so far for Kenelis and we can't wait to give our best performance yet!

When did you know you were playing?

We confirmed the Rocksound Cave a couple of months ago for the Saturday and recently got asked to play the Acoustic Stage on the Sunday. Both very different sets, we've rewritten a lot of our album stuff for the acoustic set, almost like we are covering our own songs!

Will you be spending the whole weekend at the festival?

Absolutely, have you seen the line up?!

Is there anyone else you are looking forward to seeing at the festival?

There's quite a few but these are my top 5!

Draven The first band we ever shared a stage with. Theyve just released their debut album and we love these boys!

Flame to Fire Guildforss Superband! (Without Grace & Radiate) their free download rocks you should check it out!

Hundred Reasons Local legends! Everyone bow down NOW!

Redwood More legendaryness! Angus is also our producer and seeing him in action fills us with love!
The Ghost of a Thousand They played the Rocksound last year and blew headliners Fightstar out the water! I LOVE THEM.

Have you been to GuilFest before and what do you know about it ?

Its very rare to have a festival where you can have so many different experiences no matter what age you are. Theres something for everyone no matter what music you like and how old you are. Everyone goes because they love music and can forget about the cr*p that drains them on a daily basis.

What other bands would you like to share the stage with past or present?

I'd go back in time 15 years then share the stage with Hole, Nirvana, Guns N Roses, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins and then come back to the present playing gigs with PJ Harvey, Placebo, We Are Scientists, Death Cab, Silversun Pickups and Biffy Clyro! Good times...

How would you describe your average fan?

Clearly awesome with excellent taste in music :0)

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

If I had to pick a moment I would say going to HMV in Guildford and seeing our album for sale next to Kasabian, The Killers and all those other big signed bands beginning with K. This July is going to be the gig highlight, we're playing so many amazing gigs in 1 month. London Pride, Guilfest (TWICE), 229 the venue (London) and Nottingham Pride. I'm gonna be buzzing all the way to August!

If you hadnt been in a band, what do you think you would have done with your life career wise?

It depends how you would define a career. I will always be involved in music. If I wasn't in the band right now I'd be promoting rock nights and live music. I'd paint more too, I like art I just never have the time, ever.

If you could change places with anyone for a day who would it be and why?

The boss of MTV2. I'd book Mel Sanson to do a 24 hour non stop special for the next day when I'm back to me again. Then as me, I would whore my band and play all the bands I love that never get exposure on TV because everything is controlled by money not love. OH YEAH!
