The biggest surprise of the night was finding out that the gig would be taking place in a smaller area of the Academy as judging by just how quickly the venue and how loyal the fans of these bands are they would of had no problem selling the whole place out. However this did seem to work to the bands advantage as for the whole night the sound set-up was incredible and without the problems most gigs suffer.

Laruso opened the night up slightly earlier than billed with a tremendous track called "End Of Level Boss" that really set the tone and pace for the evening. A roaring track with that feel good factor with just enough of a metal edge to make you want to take down that person just for standing next to you. They followed up with "This Isn’t A Moon, It’s A Space Station" which is a little more of the same.

They took it down a notch for the slightly more serious "Overture" before kicking it back up for "The Waking" and then toy with our emotions again by taking it down for "Plain Paper Napkins". Going out on a strong note they finished up with their new single "1998" and the title track from the album "Cause & Effect." "1998" is more of the same feel good quasi-metal where as "Cause & Effect" is a brutal, very in your face track which was the perfect way for the band to finish.
