Sondura are a loud and heavy four piece based in London, there style is a mix of hard heavy metal with a hint of melodic, it’s a sound that certainly had the folks at Guitar Hero interested as the asked the band to promote the game this saw Sondura, who have already played to over 10,000 rock kids on two nationwide school tours, set out on their third Guitar Hero Schools tour on June 22nd, with 40 performances at another 20 schools lined up between then and July 17th.

From the first track to the last this album is a true metal album, but with catchy riffs and melodic moments that make you listen just that little bit more. The album was produce by John Mitchell who was also responsible for producing You Me At Six, Enter Shikari, Funeral For A Friend, Architects to name but a few so you know this is an album that’s polished to the highest degree.

In this day and age where it seems that every second band that appears is trying to fit into this genre it’s nice to have a band that actually does, and fit into it well.

This is one album that I recommend that you go out and buy, you won’t be disappointed. 9/10

Live before you die is released on 3 August on Hard Sounds Records
