You have been booked to play at the GuilFest festival this year. Are you looking forward to it and how did the booking come about?

Sharp - Yes, were lookin forward to it, thanks to Tony Scott once again for given us a chance to showcase our music at his wonderful festival.

Alex - We're really excited about this - festivals are what it's all about!

When did you know you were playing?

About a month ago.

Will you be spending the whole weekend at the festival?

Sharp - Yes, we will play on Fri 10th July, 12 Midday then entertain a few beers, with a potential acoustic slot over the weekend.

Is there anyone else you are looking forward to seeing at the festival?

Hell Yer, The Wailers have to be one the highlights for us, Simon Friend from The Levellers, Happy Mondays ( I think they are fuckin cool

Alex) And most importantly our fans who come to see us.

Have you been to GuilFest before and what do you know about it ?

Great atmosphere, Great vibes!! The Retox have played for the last 2 years running, but this is the first time we've played the Rocksound Cave.

What other bands would you like to share the stage with past or present?

Sharp - (Laughs uncontrolably) Difficult question, there are too many bands to name, but the obvious ones are Soundgarden, Nirvana, Motley Crue, Rage Against The Machine, Tool......... I could go on and on and on...... but I wont. ;)

How would you describe your average fan?

The kind of people who just wanna go and rock out to some high energy rock!

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

Sharp - Headlining the Carling Academy Islington was pretty cool,we were outside having a smoke to calm the nerves and then a coach full of our fans arrived to cheer us on, also headlining the Underworld in Camden and seeing all the famous bands that have signed there name on the dressing room wall.

Alex - Every gig is a highlight.

If you hadn’t been in a band, what do you think you would have done with your life career wise?

Sharp - I couldnt do anything else, I just love music, I think I speak for all of us when I say Ive given up a lot of opportunities to play music and make this my career.

Alex - You said earlier you'd be a doctor!! To be totally honest I'd have finished my degree and been struggling to find a job just like everyone else. Good choice I think.

If you could change places with anyone for a day – who would it be and why?

Sharp - I would be the executive in charge of Domino Records and the reason is because then I would sign The Retox to the label because you know it makes sense.

 Alex -  Some beach bum who lives on a beach on a tropical island, who wouldnt wanna do that man!!
