Your
music style has changed quite a lot since the American Hi Fi ablum in
2001, what made you change? |
| Jamie |
We
were just kind of going with the flow, we are into so many different types
of music, we had a whole bunch of songs that we recorded before we made
‘Hearts On Parade’ which is even a different sound. We are
just experimenting with music, so why not ? We don’t want to make
the same sounding record every time, we want to draw from different influences.
The next record I’m sure will be more rock, but still probably different,
kinda more like the first one but a different thing. Some people don’t
like the second album, but we do. In retrospect we should have probably
made the second album sound more like the first ‘cos then we would
have been more successful. |

What
have you planned for Drew's Birthday on Wednesday? either before of after
the gig in Swansea |
| Jamie |
We
have never been to Swansea and have no idea what to expect, but we like
Bristol, we made a video here the last time we were over for ‘The
Breakup Song’ but it wasn’t very good, I don’t know
if anyone ever saw it. Right, Drew’s birthday, I’d actually
forgotten, I have no idea of what we are going to do. |

have toured with loads of bands but are there any other bands that you
would like to work with? |

It’s
safe to say that you guy’s would say Ash |

Yeah,
we have done a couple of shows with them and they are awesome, I’d
love to tour with them, the Foo Fighters would definitely be a pretty
awesome tour. Supergrass – I’d love to tour with |

that would be great, Stacy would want to tour with The Jam |

do you want for Christmas? |
| Jamie |
I
had some ideas of what I wanted for Christmas but now I can’t remember
them. Top of the list would be some Pro V Golf Balls, they make you hit
the ball so much better. |

need some new speakers. I just got a nice old turntable, so I need some
speakers. And world peace. |

are a nation of festival lovers, are you planning to do any British festivals
next year? |
| Jamie |
Well
we would love to do festivals and we do a few small ones in the States.
When we first came out we were able to do Reading and Leeds and that was
some of the best times of my life, unfortunately we haven’t been
asked back. How do we get on the lists ? We’d do it if we could
afford it. |

are party animals, especially on the road. |

Yeah
silence is good sometimes, just not on the tour bus. |

It’s
nice at home though, but theres no way you can get any on this tour (laughs)
the guys (BFS) start drinking at breakfast and go right through, even
the crew start drinking early. |
