After
many discussions about life, music, and guitars on msn, Rob Abrams of
Saxum, and Christos Reid of Kill Clyde, decided to jam. They then decided
they needed a drummer, and Marc (Saxum's drummer) came up more often
than not, and they dragged him along. Also invited to attend was a certain
Joe Mason, who's voice, up until then, had been unheard by any living
soul, bar one Trivum fan at the Astoria. They arrived at Rob's, and
set up. once set up, Rob, Christos and Marc began the all important
process for songwriting - the jam. and Rob's riff idea hit him like
lightning, and he quickly transferred it onto guitar for Christos. Practise
was made, and drum parts were added, and they began to rehearse it,
and knew one thing - this was new, and old skool, at the same time.
The downside was not hearing Joe's voice at that practise, and they
waited another week till he had the lyrics to demonstrate his ability
fully. When he first growled into the mic, Rob's eyes widened, Christos
almost fell over his amp and Marc dropped his drumsticks. Now this kid
could make noise. And so, they began to record, and the demo you see
now was born, more a milestone for them musically, than an actual demo
song.
To Be Continued.
