Band Bio:

Area15 are a young 3 piece pop punk band from Donny ( thats posh for Doncaster lol ). They write all their own music ( 20 songs to date )and have a sound in the same genre as Blink182, Greenday, Busted, Sugarcult, Simple Plan etc. So if this is the music your into, then you will LOVE these guys.

Area15 came together in November 2004, and quickly started to attract a local fan base. The access to the bands music via their website and myspace has attracted more and more fans along the way. If you have been to an Area15 gig, then you know they really enjoy playing live. The chemistry on stage between Liam, Jamie and Matti is there for all to see. Local venue, The Leopard is always sold out when Area15 put on a private gig with fans coming from all parts of the uk from as far away as Portsmouth and Glasgow
and many places in between.

The mass of Area15 fans supported the band to get them to number 1 in a Chromium Records voting poll for the best band, with a record number of votes. Fans also got behind the band in the UKband charts to make them the fastest climbers up the charts and the quickest band ever to reach number 1.

Heres a recent review about Area15 when they played The Mill in Preston by Greendragon Internet Radio...

"Next up was the much anticipated Area 15, this 3 piece band who had only been together for six months, in this current line up, really did impressed me the most out of all the supporting acts and a little birdie tells me they already have a few labels expressing an interest in them. The stage energy they projected was amazing, they really did look like they where born to be on stage and the reaction from the crowd was awesome. Teenage girls screaming their lungs out. Amazing. To think these guys are only 15, 16 and
17, makes you sick doesn't it? They played the crowd well, whipping them up into a frenzy with their bouncing, self writing pop punk. This band really did leave me speechless, almost breathless, and this is no mean accomplishment. Even though they had traveled from Doncaster, they had managed to bring a coach full of 30 fans with them. Not bad for a band starting out, perhaps the new breed is starting to take notice of what is being said about promoting yourselves the right way"

As of November 2005, the band have played around 50 gigs in their short time together and have had 4 indie lables wanting to release an Area15 single, and are attracting strong interest from the majors, with discussions ongoing regarding the potential of the band.

A music video ( around 15k production costs ) has just been completed, but is being held back until 2006 pending the outcome of the discussions taking place.

The future of Area15 looks bright. For a band of such a young age to be in the position they are in already gives them a head start. As the band and their music matures, there is a lot more to come from Area15
