Well it’s the night that everyone has been waiting for, the Get Happy Tour 2007 has reached Nottingham’s Rock City, and what a night it is set to be. First up onto the stage is the fantastic Army Of Freshmen, it’s great to see these guys back in the UK and playing to a packed and chanting crowd. They open their set with the brilliant and bouncy ‘Get Em Up’ which sees the crowd go wild and they really do get em up. “Nottingham” shouts front man Chris Jay “How is everybody doing out there?” the crowd cheer to signal that they indeed having a great time, “It’s great to be back at Rock City”. “Everybody tells me that Rock City is the best place to party, is that true” This of course is very true and the crowd let him know that. They blast out the brilliant ’10,000 years’ which sees keyboard player Dan jumping around on stage with his keyboard in his arms. All of these guys have a fantastic stage presence and huge amount of energy, “Ladies and Gentlemen” shouts Chris, “Is everybody excited to be seeing Zebrahead, The Bloodhound Gang and Bowling For Soup?” the crowd cheer “Ladies and gentlemen I cant tell you how excited we are to be back in Nottingham again”, “Ok everybody, 1 hand up” he shouts “And 2 hands up”, “And clap” the whole room has there hands in the air clapping as they play ‘Wrinkle In Time’ then straight into a track from their album ‘Under The Radar’ which already a huge hit. These guys play such an enthusiastic set you would think they were the headline act “Nottingham, how are we doing out there” asks Chris, the crowd scream back at him, “I love you guys”, “Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready for some rock and roll?” with that they play the awesome ‘End Of The Day’ which gets a huge cheer from the crowd. Half way through this track Jaret from Bowling For Soup comes out to sing with them which makes the crowd scream. “Nottingham Rock City” shouts Chris, “Guys we are going to be going to be going down to the basement after this and we have some t-shirts and CD’s for sale”, “Let me hear you say Hell Yes” Hell Yes scream the crowd. “Ok
I want everyone in the building to give the person next to them a hi

yes, “I said can you help us?” a louder scream of yes can
be heard across the room. They then play ‘Paradise’ which
the crowd sing along to. “Ok this is our last song and I want

final track is the popular ‘Juliet’. “Ladies and gentlemen”
Chris shouts after the track “Here comes the rock and roll”
they fly into some death metal style guitar playing with Chris Jay screaming
into his mic. During their set we saw Chris go over the barriers and
into the crowd twice, he is well known for this and the loyal crowd
love this interaction even more than Chris enjoys getting all up close
and personal with their adoring fans. View

The Bloodhound Gang have their video screens playing as they arrive on stage to a huge cheer from the crowd, as they start the chant with the crowd “The roof the roof the roof is on fire” which the crowd love, smoke jets blast smoke into the air from the front of the stage. “Thanks”, “Have you guys enjoyed our friends Army Of Freshmen, and Zebrahead?” the crowd scream “This song goes out to them”, then follows the chant Jimmy Pop is gay as instigated by guitarist Jared followed by the chants “Fuck Bush” and “Fuck America”. “We were here in 1999 and in 2000 and in 2005”, says Jared and this place was filled with cigarette smoke and now they took that away from you”, “they took that away from us in the USA 10 years ago, I feel bad for you guys”, “now you are as bad as America” the crowd all boo. Then follows a 1940’s cigarette commercial on the screens as the band leave the stage to go outside for a cigarette break. Upon returning Jared continues “But America did give you one good thing Nottingham”, “They gave you the Simpsons” which the crowd cheer at. They play their next track with the simpsons showing on the screens. “I met a girl today” exclaims front man Jimmy “It is her 18’th birthday today so I thought I would sing happy birthday to her on stage”, “Then I thought she’s 18, I will just fuck her in the ass backstage later” to which the crowd erupt into laughs and cheers. During the next track the screens show comments like “People from Derby eat rats” which has the crowd laughing. “Ok
im going to show you are going to talk about forever” says Jared,
he then proceeds to pull out his cock and attatch a chain to it which
is attached to a large wheeled unit onstage and he pulls it along. “That’s
not what I was talking about though” he says. He then downs a
jug of Jagermeister to the chants of Chug chug from the crowd. Upon
emptying the jug he then throws up back into the jug and then downs
that. Definitely something that people were not expecting to see tonight.
During the next track ‘Bad Touch’ he continues to throw
up and spray it over the back of front man Jimmy. A highly entertaining
set that included all the things that they are best known for. View
