Chairmen of the Bored , from Rochdale, are lead singer and guitarist Ben Gerrard, James Robinson on bass guitar and drummer Owen ‘Blue’ Beard. The band have been together since 2002, although Ben may be more familiar to fans of Channel 4 drama Hollyoaks, as he played ‘Cameron Clark’ in the teen drama. Ben recently left the show to concentrate on his music career, and coincidentally his character was written out by going on tour to play in a band!

Previously, the band struggled to fit in gigs around Ben’s hectic filming schedule but have since played a string of shows in and around North West England, especially building up a huge fan base in Manchester and their home town of Rochdale. They are also in the middle of organizing a mini tour for the summer and have secured a string of support slots around the UK.

As well as performing, COTB are currently in the studio writing and recording material for their debut album which they hope to release at the end of the year. The band have been inspired by artists including Blink 182, Green Day and Good Charlotte. With outstanding original tracks of their own such as ‘I wish’ and ‘Get Away’, Chairmen of the Bored are more than ready to put themselves on the pop punk map!
