A new and diverse sound drawing on chunky guitar riffs, metal edges and electronic soundscapes. A Scottish based, electro punk rock band, currently recording their own original material and gigging around the globe.

Darkwater have played all of Glasgow's top venues including, Barfly, King Tuts, Barrowlands and ABC. After winning the Radio Westsound Battle of the Bands competition, they performed on the main stage at the 2006 Wickerman festival.

Despite not being signed to a major record company, in November 2006 they were invited to support Hayseed Dixie on a national UK tour, playing to packed crowds in venues including the Carling Academies in Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Bristol, and London, selling hundreds of copies of their demo CD. They also opened for the Damned in England and Dog Eat Dog on a highly successful tour of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

With a growing following among snowboarders, who first heard Darkwater on extreme sport podcasts, they are the first band to have played all three UK Xscapes. The band has also provided the soundtrack for the 2007 Mountain Bike World Championship.
