Scottish Electro Rockers Darkwater released their head pounding new single ‘1920’ on the 27 Aug, the track, a follow up to their awesome double A side single ‘Alone And’/’Easy Weakness’ is set to be one of the most memorable singles of 2007. From the hard guitar sounds to the 80’s style electronic keyboards tied in with the amazingly powerful vocal of lead singer Lora, ‘1920’ infects your head and stays there pounding in all of your senses. The band have a truly unique sound that I’m sure many will try to imitate but few will be able to pull of with the success that Darkwater have, and with the likes of Ian Scott from Anthrax taking time to remix this single its clear to see that they are attraction a lot of attention. The second track ‘Left Behind’ with even more thrashing guitars does not fail to disappoint if you were thinking that these guys were just a one hit wonder then think again. The added bonus of a live track ‘Find What We Take’ proves that this is not just a studio tweaked single but these guys can really play. This is defiantly a band
to keep an eye on, as I know they are going to go on to do big things. |
