Well it was a long trip down to the Cheese and Grain in Frome and its just been made worthwhile by Day Of Rising hitting the stage, there have been a couple of support bands on before them but Day Of Rising get on that stage and take it over. This
is one tight band, they sing fantastically and play like their instruments
are a permanent extension of their bodies. These guys are like nothing
you have ever seen before and if you check them out you will be as blown
away as we were. |
If you look up the word harmonies in the dictionary im sure there must be some reference to Day Of Rising in there, as the three vocalists voices are all distinctive but blend superbly together. They
play the tracks ‘High Hopes And Empty Promises’, ‘Destroying
Dialogues’ and ‘march’ which are available on their
highly praised ‘Unmasking St Minver’ EP. They also played
‘Bring Us Back 7am’ which is available as a free download
from their website www.dayofrising.com
the two new tracks ‘Phoenix Inc’ and ‘Olympia’
from their soon to be released EP ‘The Ignition Sessions’
are a masterpiece of writing and musical composition and are without
a doubt going to be a huge hit with fans old and new, you can check
these tracks out on the bands myspace at www.myspace.com/dayofrising |
They have a unique sound and are definitely our band to check out for 2007. They had the crowd jumping up and down and going mad for their music and when the end of the set sees Oscar and Javier jump into the crowd to rock out with the fans who are moshing enthusiastically all around them. This was an awesome show and definitely gets a 10/10 from us. Day
Of Rising travel extensively around the UK to play shows so be sure
to check them out when they are in a town near you. |
