Emerging from the ashes of Cycosis & B.O.C, Gripshift launched their assault on the South West metal scene in November 2003. With the emphasis on writing their own material from day one, their unique sound riff laden with melodic de-tuned guitars, shit kicking drums & powerful female vocals quickly developed. Having cut their teeth playing pubs and clubs around the Bristol area including a support slot for Anthrax at the Bristol Bierkeller, the band were ready to take their music a stage further.
2004 saw the release of the E.P 'My Reality' showcasing the bands early material. The new full length debut album combines 3 of the bands older songs with 6 brand new ones, including a newly penned track called 'Frozen' which may surprise those who are familiar with Gripshift?s more aggressive style.
