OperatorSix consists of 4 members, Alex and Adam, two brothers from Bingley in West Yorkshire, and Ian and Darren, two lifelong friends from Keighley, another town on the decline in West Yorkshire. The band formed in 2002 having appeared in various line-ups throughout the region, including Indie, Rock and Heavy Metal bands, but formed after synchronized split-ups as bands tend to do. The Trio of Darren, Ian and Alex took on Alex's younger brother, a rising vocal and songwriting talent, to front the band and take the style of their previous band 'Deepfill' from an experimental Heavy Metal style to a softer and more mature sound. Adams former band 'Pitfall' had taken the Indie sound far, but Adam had outgrown it, and the mix of the two bands members naturally created a progressive new direction. Currently the bands debut Album entitled 'Alibi' is receiving fantastic reviews, and the four are using the current 'buzz' to their advantage, gigging regularly with top names such as Ocean Colour Scene Paul Weller, and rapidly building a fan base, while experimenting and songwriting continues to progress in a positive direction.
