| Upload | How long have you been together and how did you start the band |
| Sheldon | Sheldon was started by myself (Andy) and Rich. We'd been in attempted bands together before but Sheldon has proved a more longevitous project. We've been together for over five years, but we've played in bands together for a long time. Different bass players have come and gone over time, a lot of them, but touch wood our new bass player, Gary is here for the long haul. |
| Upload | What are the band members names and what are their roles |
| Sheldon | Well there's me! Andy. I sing, songwrite, play guitar, I play harmonica on one song we have. Rich is our drummer and also a diligent roadie and our latest addition to the band is Gary on bass who has also does a fair bit of the driving. |
| Upload | Which other bands do you admire and why. |
| Sheldon | If
we're talking unsigned, I admire Shuriken, who have sadly split up. They
were one seriously hard touring band who really put in the extra effort
to promote themselves. I also admire a lot of the great bands on UKbands.net.
Too many to mention here. While there are some bands who's whole idea
of promotion is the same old do nothing, there are some great bands out
there who really care about what they do and they're bloody determined
you're gonna hear it. If we're talking signed, Green Day are one of my favourite bands for the past eleven years. I'm also a big fan of 3 Colours Red, The Wildhearts, Therapy?, Feeder. Basically 'cos they make great music. Me and Rich are both big fans of REM and U2 as well and all three of us seem to like the Manic Street Preachers. My admiration is mainly musical, 'cos I don't hero-worship bands. I admire Goldfinger for veganism, as well as good songs. |
| Upload | What do you want for Christmas. |
| Sheldon | World peace, an end to world hunger... the usual. |
| Upload | What is your favourite gig that you have played. |
| Sheldon | We played a gig in Leeds on our second tour that was really good. We were the last band on so I thought no one would stick around, but people stuck around and we went down really well. There were people singing along to our songs and they hadn't even heard our songs before. Much, much, much better response than we get in Liverpool. We've played a few gigs in Southport as well that go pretty well where we're definitely communicating our music to new people, not just mates who we've dragged along. |
| Upload | If you could swap places with someone for a day, who would it be and why |
| Sheldon | With a woman, so I could experience what it's like to be a woman. |
| Upload | What is the maddest thing you have ever done |
| Sheldon | Answered the previous question as I did. |
| Upload | What other countries would you like to tour in |
| Sheldon | I guess everyone wants to break America... although I hate their political system obviously. Canada seems like a nice place and Europe apparently has a much better music scene than the UK. I like to think there's potential Sheldon fans every where. |
| Upload | What is your favourite movie |
| Sheldon | Any one of the Star Wars movies. |
| Upload | Where do you see yourselves, career wise, this time next year. |
| Sheldon | Will hopefully have released record and sold some copies of it. Still be gigging around and maybe have a few more fans |
| Upload | If you were a superhero what would your name be and what special powers would you have. |
| Sheldon | Stick Man, with the power to stick it to the man. |
