Prior to their appearance on the second stage on Friday at this year’s Download Festival we did a quick interview with Ben Ozz, the bass player from Zebrahead. Check out what he had to say to us.

Up-load	You have been booked to play the second stage at the Download festival this year. Are you looking forward to it and how did the booking come about ?
Ben	Hell Yes. It is one of those shows that no matter what you are doing you drop everything to go and play it. I really don’t know how it came about???....I was jsut happy to hear we get to play it. .
Up-load	When did you know you were playing ?
Ben	Only a couple months ago. We were recording our new record when we got the call and decided we better finish before the date of Download so we could do it.
Up-load	Will you be spending the whole weekend at the festival?
Ben	I wish! We head off later in the evening to Switzerland to play the Greenfield Festival. I will drink as much beer as possible and refuse to leave until I see Motorhead play. They don’t let drunk people on planes anyways so that will be my excuse.
Up-load	Is there anyone else you are looking forward to seeing at the festival?
Ben	Motorhead!.
Up-load	Have you been to Download before?
Ben	We played the second stage 2 years ago and it was great. There was so much dust from the circle pits that I was tasting it for weeks. Well worth it though.
Up-load	What other bands would you like to share the stage with past or present?
Ben	We are actually lucky enough where we have got to play with most my favourite bands. So if I died tomorrow it is cool.
Up-load	Have any of you ever had a stalker or over obsessive fan ?
Ben	The more fans into your band the better I always say. Once people meet you and realize your just like them but lucky enough to play in a band the weirdness goes away. Truely there are millions of talented bands and I just got lucky to do what I do...so if someone cares about what I am doing I am stoked not bummed.
Up-load	What has been the highlight of your career so far ?
Ben	Having Rick Neilson from Cheap Trick come out with us on stage and play “surrender”.
Up-load	If you hadn’t been in a band, what do you think you would have done with your life career wise?
Ben	Flipping burgers or picking up trash.
Up-load	If you could change places with anyone for a day – who would it be and why?
Ben	Hmmm....nobody...i enjoy being a fat drunk loser!

Boxers...briefs look lame on fat dudes like me
