The venue was very busy with loads of strangely dressed people all eagerly awaiting tonight’s show. It may have been bonfire night but the crowd resembled a huge Halloween party with everything from blood covered zombies to pvc clad dominatrix . The first band tonight were Send More Paramedics who took to the stage to rapturous screams and cheers, they obviously had a huge base of fans here. The music burst into life and they started bouncing around on stage and belting out their songs, B`Hellmouth was jumping from the stage to the safety barriers and almost eating the fans alive, ‘blood’ was running from his mouth and covered his hands as well as most of the fans in the front row, but they were loving it. They delivered a stream of hits such as ‘Zombie Crew’ and ‘Nothing Tastes Like This’ all in their unique ‘zombie core’ style. They really know how to wow the crowd and keep them wanting more. Pounding drums and screaming guitars with fast heavy vocals are what this band deliver track after track and the energy that they put into their performance is commendable. What an awesome show they put on for the crowd tonight. The headliners this evening are Wednesday 13. People had traveled for hours just to get to watch them this evening and the hall was buzzing as they waited for them to start their set and believe me the crowd were not to be disappointed . Eerie sounds filled the air and dark shadows walked onto the stage. Loud screams erupted from the crowd as the demonic goth gods sprang into life. The lights illuminated the stage to show the skulls and other wacky props that were scattered around as everyone looked on in amazement. Wednesday chatted to the crowd in between songs and informed them that the band had now been together for a year. They belted out hit after hit from the album Transylvania 90210 such as ‘I walked with a zombie’ and ‘Rot for me’ as the crowd were jumping up and down, singing along and showing the ‘devil horn’ salute at every opportunity. Half way through the set Wednesday said that they were going to do a tribute to the best rock ‘n’ roll band ever and they then played the great ‘R.a.m.o.n.e.s’ , this is a very lively track and it went down a storm. After he introduced the other members of the band ‘Kid Kid’ on bass, ‘Pig’ on guitar and ‘Ghastly’ on drums they continued with the set and played such tracks as ‘Buried by Christmas’ . This was a good long set but it still seemed to be over all too quickly, especially as far as the crowd were concerned. A shout of ‘Wednesday, Wednesday’ ensued after they left the stage and this resulted in their return to play some of their greatest tracks as an encore, the epics ‘I love to say Fuck’ and ‘I want you … dead’ . This
was a great end to a great night and I don’t think anyone left
the building that night without saying “That was fucking amazing”
